About this kitchen

Fern Kitchen is a notebook of the food I actually make at home, in a flat with one small oven and a stovetop that has two reliable burners and one that pretends. Most of the recipes are cheap, most are vegetarian, all are written for one or two people because that is who tends to eat them.

I do not test recipes the way a magazine kitchen does. I cook them, eat them, write down what I did when it worked, and forget about the times it didn't.

Recipes here are free to copy and remix at home. Reposting them in full somewhere else is rude, but linking is welcome.
